MIVAC researchers Susanna Cardell (PI) and Nils Lycke, toghether with professor Christian Boitard, Paris, have received a grant amounting to 400 000 US dollars Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, for studies using a novel CTA1R7K-based tolerance inducing vector for therapeutic treatment of type 1 diabetes.

 

The aim of the project is to explore the possibility of inducing prophylactic or therapeutic protection from type 1 diabetes by using CTA1R7K-pept-DD (where peptstands for relevant insulin peptides), in established animal models of the human disease.
