Positions at MIVAC

A major inspiration of the center is to foster the next generation of scientists in the field of mucosal immunobiology and vaccines. We are convinced that this can only be done through active recruitment of internationally experienced young investigators.

Young investigator awards

In particular we bring successful young researchers at the Assistant professor level into the MIVAC and provide them with contracts and a financial back-pack to stimulate their development into creative and independent researchers. The applicants are expected to have accumulated relevant postdoctoral research experience, publications on an excellent level, unique and competitive approaches and be capable of independently leading a research group. The award program is developed in analogy with the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) -nodes and the award winners are provided with a budget including salaries for a PhD student and part-time technician. We expect to launch two to three Young Investigator Awards per year. Successful applicants will be offered 3+2 year contracts with an interim quality assessment involving the international advisory group.

Other positions

In addition to the young investigator awards, MIVAC are also recruiting a number of postdocs and PhD students.
